Principal Investigator
The chief medical administrator (usually a physician) of a clinical trial, responsible for the quality and FDA compliance of all aspects of protocol implementation and record-keeping requirements.Prior to starting a clinical trial with a pharmaceutical company, our Principal Investigator (PI) carefully considers the safety of potential patients.
If the PI determines safety could pose a potential issue, our site will elect not to accept the trial.
Even if a patient qualifies for a trial, if we have any reservations regarding their safety in participation, we do not bring that patient in for the screening office visit.
